FAQ's

1.) Are your fabrics colorfast/washfast?

Yes; our fabrics are ready to be stitched on and do not need to be washed! If, however, you do need to wash your fabric, please follow these wash instructions:
Wash in lukewarm water with no detergent. Do not scrunch fabrics while submerged and do not rub. Lay flat to dry on a towel.

2.) Why are your fabrics only colored on one side?

Over the past several years, our company has invested a great deal of time and energy into formulating a new technique that uses less than 1% of the dye that conventional hand dyeing uses; there is no dye down the drain, and we have eradicated the need to pre-wash fabrics, making ours the most environmentally friendly cross stitch fabrics on the market.  This technique allows for perfect color consistency and repeatablility even years from now.
The color being on one side should make no difference to your cross stitch project. However, if purchasing hardanger for a pulled threadwork project, it is possible that on dark colors, white may show through.

3.)  What base fabric do you use?

All of our fabrics are comission woven for us in only European mills, and are of the utmost quality. They are truly heirloom quality and you will be impressed with the feel and hand of them. Considering the amount of hours spent cross stitching, you'll want to be using only the finest fabric!

4.)  Is my item in stock?

Most fabrics are made to order (that is, colored to order). All associated products are in stock but should we be out of them and awaiting a shipment, we will always make this known on the website so you are aware before you place your order.

5.)  How frequently do you respond to e-mails?

We get hundreds of e-mails per day but make an effort to respond to e-mails on the same day we receive them. If you have any questions or comments, you can e-mail us or for a more immediate response, give us a call. We are open Mon. to Fri. 9-5 EST.

6.)  Can I order a custom size of fabric?

Sorry, we don't cut custom sizes of fabric. Please refer to our standard sizes diagram/information.

7.)  Can I purchase a gift certificate?

Sure! Use the link at the top of the page, or call or e-mail us and you can choose your amount, and how you would like the gift certificate delivered--either by mail or via e-mail--and then on the day of your choice we will let the recipient know. You can add any message you like.

8.)  Do you exhibit at cross stitch shows?

Yes! Please check our schedule page for the most up-to-date information.

9.)  Do you sell multipacks with larger fabric pieces?

Our multipacks are like grab-bags of small fabric cuts (a minimum of 8x10") that are great for smaller projects like ornaments. We don't sell them in larger cuts.

10.)  If I need a large stitching frame, can I purchase two Clip/Grip-N-Stitch kits and put them together?

Yes--for projects that require a larger frame you can build two kits together.

11.)  Do you send out fabric samples?

We don't provide swatches of our fabrics, but we have something even better! Our color charts show all of our solid colors and are printed directly onto either aida, evenweave or linen, and represent the true color. Purchase one here

12.)  Do you have a shop I can visit?

We do not currently have a physical shop.

13.)  Can I choose what colors I want included in my multipack?

Sorry, we cannot customize multipacks. They are mixed fabric pieces so you receive a random selection of colors.

14.)  How long will my order take to ship?

We pride ourselves in offering you an extensive range of fabric type, count, color, pattern, and treatment options. For this reason, most fabrics are made to order, so please give us up to 14 to 20 business days to get your order sent. We endeavor to ship items as quickly as possible, so sometimes your order will be ready faster than this, and sometimes it could even be a couple more days. Once your order ships, your account will reflect this. We thank you for your patience and think your wait will be worth it!
